2021 THE Asia University Ranking released, 17 Thai universities listed!

On June 2, Beijing time, Times Higher Education (THE), one of the four high-profile authoritative ranking institutions, officially announced the 9th ranking of Asian universities!

A total of 551 universities from 30 countries or regions participated in the ranking this year, an increase of 13% compared with 489 last year.

The Asian universities ranked top 10 in 2021:

Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings apply the same 13 performance indicators employed in the World University Rankings, and the weights have been adjusted to reflect the characteristics of Asian universities. It makes the most comprehensive and balanced comparison of the five core missions of the university: teaching (25%), research (30%), knowledge transfer (30%), international outlook (7.5%) and industry revenue (7.5%). To qualify for participation, colleges and universities must obtain the previous ranking qualification of THE World University Rankings.

1. Teaching (learning environment): 25%

·Reputation survey: 10%

·Teacher student ratio: 4.5%

·Doctorate to bachelor’s ratio: 2.25%

·Ratio of doctoral degree recipients to academic staff: 6%

·Institutional income: 2.25%

2. Research (quantity, revenue and reputation): 30%

·Reputation survey: 15%

·Research revenue: 7.5%

·Research Efficiency: 7.5%

3. Citation (research influence): 30%

4. International outlook (staff, students, research): 7.5%

·International to domestic student ratio: 2.5%

·Number of international staff: 2.5%

·International Cooperation: 2.5%

5. Industry revenue: 7.5%
